This was my first foray into texturing and going really in depth with 3D end product type stuff with rendering and I am completely floored by how powerful these programs are, straight up sorcery. I'm really excited to learn this stuff better to use as really powerful reference for digital and oil painting.
I spent a little over an hour sculpting in ZBrush and was able to make something near photo realistic with Substance Painter (spent much more than an hour in SP though lol). UV unwrapped with Blender using the auto projection unwrap which almost crashed my computer, and textured and rendered in Substance Painter/IRay.
The plan is to use this as reference for an oil painting where I'll have the opportunity to fix some stuff like the ears and horns/refine the shapes and silhouette. So keep your eyes peeled for that!
